About

Stewart Associates is an architecture firm that specializes in designing custom single-family residences. The firm is run by a father-and-son team who are passionate about architecture. Although the firm has become smaller over the years, they still take on projects of all sizes, from small additions to large estates. They value connecting with clients who appreciate good design and aim to create homes that will be cherished for generations. Their understanding of traditional and classical architecture sets them apart and guides their designs. They value the natural light, efficiency, and ease of construction that traditional designs allow.

They have extensive experience working with various communities along the Peninsula and have good relationships with local planning and building departments, consultants, and contractors. They prioritize accuracy and detail in their plans to ensure a smooth construction process. The firm is committed to continuous learning and growth through involvement with local professional organizations. Ultimately, the firm's passion lies in creating great designs for its clients and helping to guide them from the initial consultation all the way through their move-in day.

Jason Stewart

Jason has been apprenticing at the family firm since 2010. Since then, he has learned every facet of the business by being involved every day. He completed the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art (ICAA) Professional Intensive in Classical Architecture in 2019 and remains involved in the local chapter of the ICAA and is on the path to becoming a California registered architect.

Jason is passionate not only about design but also about building science and construction practices. He sees each project as an opportunity to learn and grow his skillset. Jason is the driving force pushing the firm forward.

Jason is a proponent of utilizing the latest technology like three-dimensional walkthroughs and 3d printing. While he does value technology, he doesn’t want to lose touch with the charm of the past so you may also find him working on a digital watercolor rendering.

Outside of work, Jason is an avid mountain biker and outdoorsman. He enjoys camping and exploring the outdoors, and most of all finding steep and loamy trails to push the limits of what he can do on a bike.
